Call for Nomination: 2026 IEEE Sapporo Section Young Professionals Best Researcher Award and Best Paper Award
To acknowledge and promote the remarkable achievements of Young Professionals in Hokkaido, Japan, IEEE Sapporo Section Young Professionals Affinity Group (Sapporo YP) establishes the IEEE Sapporo Section Young Professionals Best Researcher Award and Best Paper Award.
Eligibility Requirements:
IEEE Sapporo Section Young Professionals Best Researcher Award
1. The nominee must be engaged with Young Professionals Affinity Group under IEEE Sapporo Section (IEEE member or volunteer who graduated and earned their first professional degree after January 1, 2011.);
2. Both nomination and self-nomination are accepted.
IEEE Sapporo Section Young Professionals Best Paper Award
1. The first author should fulfill the same requirements as Best Researcher Award;
2. The candidate paper should be published on IEEE journals between January 1, 2023 and December 31, 2025 (within the past 3 years);
3. The nominee must be the first author;
4. Both nomination and self-nomination are accepted;
5. One can be nominated once in the nomination of two awards.
Nomination/Self-Nomination Procedure:
1. The nominator should prepare the required nomination form and convert into PDF;
2. Nomination of Best Paper Award also requires a digital copy of the candidate paper;
3. All required documents should be emailed to jwxu@muroran-it.ac.jp entitled 2026 Nominations for IEEE Sapporo YP Awards;
4. Deadline for nomination is June 30, 2026;
5. Number of awardees: up to 1 in principle for each award;
6. Announcement of the awardees will be in July 2026, each nominator will be notified by email;
7. Each awardee will receive a certificate and prize money (20,000 JPY).
