From Space to Society: Driving Impact through Remote Sensing Technologies for the Next Generation of IEEE Young Professionals

The rapid advancement of remote sensing technologies has created unprecedented opportunities to address real-world challenges in environmental monitoring, disaster management, urban planning, and sustainable development. However, a critical gap remains between data acquisition and the translation of these data into actionable societal impact.
The Young Professional (YP) activity is a pre-model of the upcoming IEEE NIGERCON conference a flagship programme of the IEEE Nigeria Section aims to bridge this gap by equipping young professionals with the knowledge, tools, and collaborative networks required to translate remote sensing data into meaningful, real-world solutions.
