IEEE YP Networking Evening: Bridging International Research and Local Young Professionals

The IEEE Newfoundland and Labrador Young Professionals Affinity Group invites local young professionals, graduate students, senior undergraduates, and early-career engineers to a networking reception with the (https://aspire-crc-tca-workshop.github.io/), which brings together researchers from partner institutions in Japan, Norway, and Canada.
Networking reception: 6:00 PM – 10:00 PM, The Breezeway
The evening opens with a short welcome from the IEEE NL YP Affinity Group and ASPIRE-CRC Workshop then moves straight into conversation. Facilitated discussion tables run on three themes: 1)AI & Machine Learning, 2)Wireless & IoT, and 3)Career Pathways in R&D, with participants rotating between them. Conversation across the reception turns to current research directions and where the open problems sit, how research groups abroad are organized and funded, what visiting scholarships and exchange programmes exist, and how early-career engineers move between academic and industry R&D roles.
The remainder of the evening is open networking, with refreshments alongside visiting international researchers and industry R&D practitioners. Attendees are encouraged to exchange contacts directly.
IEEE membership is not required for the evening reception. All early-career professionals and students are welcome.

Attendance at the workshop's daytime technical sessions is open to IEEE members. Registration is complimentary and required since capacity is limited.
