Technical Site Visit to the Townsville University Hospital

Summary
IEEE Northern Australia Section members are invited to attend a site visit to the Townsville University Hospital (TUH) to promote industry participation and involvement. To ensure patient care is prioritised at all times, the hospital operates one of the more complex electrical distribution networks within the Townsville region. The site visit will aim to provide:
– An overview of the TUH high and low voltage electrical distribution networks
– A tour of the Central Energy Facility 2 building
– Facilitate a discussion on the complexities of operating and augmenting a complex HV network
Following the site visit attendees will be able to network at the nearby Riverside Tavern.
Details:
The site visit will be limited to a maximum of 20 IEEE attendees. Covered footwear and long pants must be worn for the site inspection.
The site visit will commence from 5pm and expected to conclude by 6pm. IEEE members attending the site inspection will be welcome to attend networking at the nearby Riverside Tavern following the site visit.
