Free Virtual Event: IEEE Virtual Career and Talent Expo

  The IEEE Career and Talent Expo hosted by IEEE Region 6 will be launched on 1 June 2015. This virtual event, free and open to all IEEE members, will run for one month, and will link IEEE members to companies looking for individuals with our members' skills and talents. Like a face-to-face conference, the Career and Talent Expo will provide career related and professional development presentations to attendees. A personal skills assessment tool will be provided to all Expo attendees, at no charge, to assist in the corporate interviewing and job benchmarking process.

IEEE History Center announces the launch of the Engineering and Technology History Wiki

  The IEEE History Center has launched the Engineering and Technology History Wiki to expand the IEEE Global History Network. With grant funding from the United Engineering Foundation, the IEEE History Center has partnered with six other engineering societies to create this comprehensive collection of history online.

“Afro-tech-girls” breaking down traditional barriers

  In this month's GOLDRush blog highlight, Ms. Adeola Shasanya from Lagos, Nigeria, shares her story of how she has worked tirelessly with young girls throughout Lagos State and surrounds to raise awareness and promote STEM careers through the organisation, “Afro-Tech Girls”. Adeola also provides some very sound advice for IEEE Young Professionals seeking to make their mark in the world of engineering and technology.
