Check out the 5 Major Hospital Hacks article on IEEE Spectrum. In real-world war, combatants typically don't attack hospitals, however, in the cyber realm, hackers have no such scruples. Panelists at a recent SxSW Interactive session described some of the worst online assaults on medical centers. "We're attacked about every 7 seconds, 24 hours a day," said John Halamka, chief information officer at a Boston area hospital. And the strikes come from everywhere: "It's hacktivists, organized crime, cyberterrorists, MIT students,..."

Google and IEEE announce Little Box Challenge winner

In July 2014, Google and the IEEE launched the US $1 Million Little Box Challenge, an open competition to design and build a small kW-scale inverter with a power density greater than 50 Watts per cubic inch while meeting a number of other specifications.
