About Ramakrishna:

Ramakrishna Kappagantu has over 30 years rich experience in Indian Power Sector viz NTPC Ltd and Power Grid Corporation of India Limited. Currently he is spearheading Solar Power Projects for a Social Entrepreneurship Firm. Earlier he was project in-charge for the first Indian Smart Grid Pilot Project and Transmission System Consultancy at Puducherry, prior to which he effectively managed 55 GW South Indian Grid, its associated Real Time Operations SCADA-EMS & Power Markets. He had publications in various conferences and been a regular invited speaker in many Industry, Research, Academic & Training Institutes. His interests include Power System Economics, Energy Accounts, Smart Grids, Renewable & SCADA-EMS. Graduated in Electrical Engineering from NIT Jaipur, He did M.Tech in Automation & Control from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad, India. He possesses an Advance Diploma in Management/Human Resources. He is a Life Fellow of Institution of Engineers (India) and Member of Eta Kappa NU. He is currently a research scholar pursuing Ph.D in Smart Grids and Renewable at NIT, Tiruchrappalli. He works for embedding Human Values in Technology & Management and strongly opines that values induction alone can drive technology for the benefit of Humanity.
