The IEEE Young Professionals of Singapore have been busy again. In collaboration with NTU Graduate Students’ Council they had conducted a series of career talks, and recently invited Mr. Michael Koh to talk about Procurement and Supply Chain Professional Progression and Salary Trend.
During the talk, Mr. Michael Koh first shared his own work experience in several MNCs, and encouraged the graduate students to pursue their own career development step by step. Then Mr. Michael Koh talked about the significance of procurement and supply chain profession, the pillars of procurement, the supply chain opportunities made from tailored procurement, together with the salary trends in the procurement industry. Finally, Mr. Michael Koh interacted with students and answered the questions, such as the relationship between majors and professions, the influence on procurement from IT technologies. He also shared the current job and internship opportunities at T-Systems.
About the speaker
Mr. Michael Koh is the Regional Head of Procurement, Asia Pacific at T-Systems, A Deutsche Telekom Group Company. He holds leadership roles in IT, data center facilities and information communications technology industries. He is certified Green Belt from Michael S. Dell and awarded Supply Chain Asia Technology Award 2015. The award distinguished individuals who excel and show high interest in driving the professional forward.
Mr. Michael Koh holds a Master degree in Materials Engineering from Nanyang Technological University. He has papers published in The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers on Asia Green Electronics and Manufacturing 2004 and 2005. With his working experiences, he is well versed in procurement transformation and business improvement.
