In 2017, the IMPACT by IEEE Young Professionals team will bring our reads an exciting series of 5 minute videos highlighting a day in the life of one of our members in industry. The purpose of this series is to bring to life the diverse roles our members play in society.
In our first video we bring you the story of Dr. Almir Badnjevic, a resident of Bosnia & Herzegovina. Currently Almir is the Director of Medical Devices Verification Laboratory Verlab Ltd. He holds a PhD of Electrical Engineering with an experience both in the fields of Biomedical Engineering and Medical Devices (including Standards and Directives of Medical Devices, Service and Verification of Medical Devices and Legal Metrology).
Furthermore, Almir is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Genetics and Bioengineering and Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Faculty of Engineering and Information Technologies, IBU and Faculty of Electrical Engineering University of Sarajevo. Dr. Badnjevic is the founder and Executive Director of Bosnia and Herzegovina Medical & Biological Engineering Society. In the 2015 Almir founded the Conference on Medical & Biological Engineering the largest conference of this type in South Eastern Europe. In 2017, the conference is being organised for the second time and Dr. Badnjevic hopes that it will help bring about new scientific knowledge and create a powerful network of likeminded individuals.
