As those in Region 8 may already know, the Iberian Student Branch Congress 2013 (ISBC) took place earlier this year in Porto, Portugal, with great success! Congratulations to the organizing team on a job well done. Elena, member of the Region 8 GOLD Committee, had the pleasure of attending the ISBC, enjoying the event and all the activities. She also gave a lecture about GOLD in collaboration with the Portuguese GOLD Affinity Group Chair, Miguel Marques. This session is framed as part of a new initiative that the Region 8 GOLD Committee has started with the aim of promoting the GOLD community among student members. Each member of the GOLD Committee will attend one of the regional Student Branch Congresses that are being organized this year in different areas of Region 8.
