Hisham Neyaz is a PhD candidate at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) with a multidisciplinary background in biomedical signal processing, data analysis, and automotive engineering. His current research focuses on EEG bio-signal processing and removal of physiological artifacts using deep learning techniques to enhance cognitive recognition and signal quality.

He has over 5 years of ongoing experience in engineering business management, actively working in areas such as branding, quality confirmation, project planning, and execution. Hisham is also a registered engineer under the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM), demonstrating his professional standing and technical expertise.

Hisham has been a dedicated IEEE volunteer for more than 10 years, with over five years of continuous service in the IEEE Malaysia Section. At the global level, he currently serves as the Operations Lead for IEEE Young Professionals under the IEEE Member and Geographic Activities (MGA), contributing to governance strategies, policy development, and operational excellence. He is also a member of the Advisory Committee for IEEE Young Professionals Region 10, focusing on regional engagement and leadership development.

His past contributions include roles in the IEEE YP Region 10 Team and the IEEE MGA YP Event Funding Team, where he supported the planning and execution of high-impact initiatives. As part of the IEEE YP Vitality Team, he continues to work on energizing the global YP network through community-building, visibility, and sustainability efforts.

In recognition of his leadership and volunteerism, Hisham received the IEEE Malaysia Outstanding Student Volunteer Award in 2021.
