Nuwanthi Abeygunawardena

Nuwanthi is a dedicated IEEE volunteer with a strong track record of leadership and service. It is her 7th year volunteering IEEE and she is the current Volunteering Lead of the IEEE Young Professionals Committee, driving initiatives to enhance volunteer engagement of the IEEE Volunteering Platform. Also she is the Assistant Treasurer of the IEEE Sri Lanka Section Executive Committee for the year 2025.

Nuwanthi has actively contributed to various IEEE programs under IEEE Sri Lanka Section including Innovation Nation Sri Lanka, Women in Engineering, and the Student Activities Committee, demonstrating her commitment to effective team leadership and project management. She is currently employed as an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering of SLIIT, Sri Lanka.
