Welcome to the 3rd meeting of the renewed (https://sites.google.com/view/thomasjohannseebeckelectronics/home)! (https://scholar.google.com/citations?user=AgyhlJgAAAAJ&hl=en&oi=ao) from the (https://biomedicine.ktu.edu/) will present about “Detection of individual triggers of paroxysmal atrial fibrillation using wearable devices”.
Bio: Andrius Petrėnas is the head of the Laboratory of Biosignal Analytics and a senior researcher at the Biomedical Engineering Institute of Kaunas University of Technology, Lithuania. He also serves as an associate professor at the Faculty of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Kaunas University of Technology. His main research interest is the development and investigation of biosignal processing and machine learning algorithms for wearable-based cardiac disease monitoring. A. Petrėnas’ research, notably on atrial fibrillation modeling, detection, and characterization, has earned recognition. He was a laureate for the Best Doctoral Thesis of Lithuania (2015) for his dissertation “Detection of brief episode atrial fibrillation,” a recipient of the Kazickas Family Foundation prize for teachers conducting high-tech scientific research (2020), and the winner of the Young Scientist Scholarship from the Lithuanian Academy of Sciences (2019).
