Dear Young Professional Members, Volunteers, and Supporters around the globe:
It gives me immense pleasure to write this special message to all of you, on behalf of the IEEE Day 2021 celebrations! IEEE with the tagline – ‘Advancing Technology for Humanity’ has always been a community of members contributing to both technology and humanitarian problems around the world.
Today is a great opportunity for us to look back and convey our gratitude, to all the dedicated volunteers of the past, and the present – who keeps the community moving forward with fresh enthusiasm and energy. On behalf of the IMPACT Committee, I extend my sincere thanks to all of you – for your dedication and commitment.
On the 25th year anniversary of IEEE Young Professionals (YP) this year – we are indeed delighted to present a few ideas and updates from the IMPACT Committee with all of you!
Since the beginning of the year, our committee is closely working with the MGA YP Committee and all the Society/Council YP Groups around the world under the dynamic leadership of Global YP Chair, Mr Emre Ayranci. We continue to serve the community, by publishing valuable articles on our blog page – on diverse topics including, technology, leadership, awards, volunteer spotlight, etc.
One of our future goals is to identify and share as many success stories as possible, from our volunteers and members around the globe. We would love to receive your submissions to be published on our blog page, to reach the wider community! (Link to submit your article)
Beyond this, we also have a few plans to execute in the upcoming few months –
(i) Creating an exclusive blog series on some of the best practices around organizing virtual activities effectively
(ii) Develop a video interview series with our volunteers around the globe
(iii) Launching the first-ever YP IMPACT Podcast
