In the Gwangju section in region 10, young professionals gathered together for the first jump. The chair of young professional affinity group in Gwangju section, Seonggeon Kim, introduced what IEEE is and what young professionals. In addition, they selected the executives, vice chair (Jaeuk Byun) and manager (Mohammad Mostafavi), to assist the chair. The host, Prof. Youngmin Song, give the members very meaningful lecture about a laboratory life when he was graduated student and way to overcome the tough moments. After the lecture, all members had a lunch time to eat pizza while talking frankly to familiarize each other. Although this meeting is simple, they established a foothold for growth of their group. Additionally, they are planning to expand the member and then more special events next time.
