We’re looking for a webmaster to support the revamp and ongoing management of the IEEE Young Professionals website. Your role will involve working with WordPress, updating content, improving structure and usability, and supporting enhancements that align with YP branding and communication goals. If you’re comfortable with WordPress and enjoy maintaining and improving web platforms, join IEEE Young Professionals and help shape our digital presence.
This role will involve creating visuals for social media posts, brochures, digital campaigns, brand identities, and other communication assets. Volunteers are expected to be well-versed with IEEE Brand Guidelines and have prior experience serving in design or communications roles within IEEE committees, Sections, or Organizational Units. If you have experience with Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Figma, or Canva, join the global IEEE Young Professionals team and contribute creatively at an international level.
We’re expanding our digital presence across platforms to better engage the global YP community. Your role will include planning content calendars, publishing posts, analyzing engagement, and supporting campaigns across social media channels. Tracks the platform growth, requirements gathering
Join the Young Professionals leadership team to spearhead two global initiatives: creating a “Mastering IEEE” video series and developing technical training modules focused on 2026 market demands (AI, Sustainability, and Cyber-Security).
The “Pipeline Builder.” You connect the committee with Student Branches and Universities to ensure our training plans supplement what students are already learning, making the transition to Young Professional seamless.
The “Market Researcher.” Your role is to talk to companies hiring engineers to find out what skills they are missing in new hires and bring that intel back to the committee’s training plans.
The “Hype Manager.” You are responsible for ensuring Young Professionals actually see and use the training content, managing our digital footprint and building community.
The visual architect. You will design the “identity” of the training programs, including thumbnails, infographics, and PDF layouts for training plans, using a modern aesthetic.
The visual storyteller. You will take raw screen recordings of IEEE platforms and talking-head footage to create polished 2–3 minute micro-learning videos. Your goal is to make technical “how-to” content look professional and engaging.
You will manage the production timeline, ensuring scripts move to filming/editing on schedule. You act as the bridge between technical experts and the creative team. Key activity: Facilitating “kick-off” meetings and ensuring content follows IEEE Brand Standards.
The voice of the committee. You are responsible for turning complex IEEE platform features and technical industry skills into clear, conversational scripts and guides for Young Professionals.
The IEEE YP Operations Subcommittee is established to provide structured operational support and coordination for the effective functioning of the IEEE Young Professionals Committee. The subcommittee is responsible for streamlining internal processes, enabling collaboration across subcommittees and ensuring the smooth execution of YP programs and initiatives. It oversees committee support functions, facilitates cross-subcommittee coordination, and drives program planning, tracking, and reporting mechanisms.
