On August 28, IEEE Vehicular Technology Society (VTS) organised a networking event for IEEE Young Professionals (YP) during the flagship biannual event of IEEE Vehicular Technology Conference(VTC) Fall Edition 2018 held in Chicago, USA.
The theme of this event was a Pizza Panel Discussion; As the name suggests, pizza was served and it was an informal networking event for YP and VTS members.
The panel discussion, ‘Futuristic Vehicles in Modern and Connected World’ kicked off with interesting topics such as future of Connected and Autonomous Vehicle (CAV) deployment, hardware that makes cars more smarter such as sensors and AI, increasing need for V2V and V2I connectivity – to name a few. Experts from various industries and academia got together and provided a very healthy discussion on multiple topics.
This event provided a direct platform to young professionals for engaging with experts, asking questions, and exploring career paths, while playing a vital role in helping young professionals to select their research domains and further enhance outcomes of their ventures regarding connected cars and intelligent transportation systems.
