IEEE Professional Communication Society: First Young Professionals Virtual Networking Space Event

The Young Professionals from the IEEE Professional Communications Society recently organized their first virtual networking space – an online platform for Young Professionals and Graduate Student Members that allows them to come together, interact and network with each other during the lockdown. The goal was to provide an online networking platform for all the interested participants to share their opinions, views, and knowledge.

The event was described as a great success with the participants actively sharing, listening and networking with each other, and also joining in some insightful and fun activities too.

The organizers had 15 questions kept ready on the Miro board, a project management platform. Every participant was asked to choose an IEEE-oriented question using a post-it option and answer it with their unique insights. When the attendees were posed with a question, ‘What is the most valuable connection you received through networking in IEEE? Narrate the experience’, the participants shared their volunteering experiences and the networking connections they had.

The organizers concluded the event with a short explanation about the mission and the objectives of the Professional Communication Society.
