IEEE Young Professionals Ecuador has organised the first workshop of Management of Technological Projects with Social Impact, during November 16-17, 2018 in the facilities of the Universidad Politécnica Salesiana de Quito, Quito – Ecuador. The objective of this event was to train the participants in the management of technological projects with social impact, allowing transforming proposals of projects into concrete realities within the required time using available resources. The workshop was attended by IEEE members as well as non-members of the IEEE, from various places in Ecuador such as Quito, Loja, Sacha, Guayaquil, Latacunga and Cuenca – to name a few.
The event allowed training and professional development through key issues; to implement sustainable and impactful humanitarian projects within working communities using concepts, case studies, tools and standards for the management of technological projects with a social impact. In addition to the workshop that lasted 16 hours, a talk was delivered on the benefits, products, and services of the IEEE membership. The post-event dinner was a platform for young professionals to connect and share ideas.
Many attendees expressed their interest in participating in the activities of the IEEE Young Professionals Ecuador Affinity Group in the future! ????
